RULES

1. Only Alaska Native or American Indian players will be allowed to participate.  No exceptions of the 1/4 degree blood requirement.  Certain educational institutions have been granted waivers in the past.  If challenged, the managers or coaches must provide proof of blood degree or age before the player(s) may participate.  All players need to bring ID cards/BIA cards to prove age or blood degree.  Any player found ineligible will be barred from further play.  Teams using an ineligible player will forfeit game.   

2. All  players shall be at least eighteen (18) years of age.  Veteran's division players must be at thirty-five (35) years old or older.   

3. Team rosters are frozen when teams first game is played.  No player may appear on more than one roster. 

4. The tournament is double elimination with the championship game being single elimination. 

5. Games will be two (2) twenty-minute running halves with stopped clock last 2 minutes of each half.  

6.  Each team allowed four (4) time outs per game.  No extra timeouts for overtime period.   

7.  Each player will have (6) six fouls per game.  

8. Teams will be allowed to start with (4) players but assessed a two-shot technical foul and the ball awarded to other team. 

9. Any player who initiates or becomes involved in any act of unsportsman-like conduct with other players, fans, or referees will be suspended from further tournament play.

10. All games played under current National Federation Rules with above noted exceptions.

11.  Uniform shirts with numbers required.  Teams without matching uniforms or numbers will be assessed a two shot technical foul at start of game and loss of ball.  

12.  No alcohol or illegal drugs allowed on school grounds.
